Steven Curtis Chapman Shares About Death of Daughter and Grieving through Hope

Christian's Who've Sought Comfort in God and Work through their Grief:

Steven Curtis Chapman Shares About Death of Daughter and Grieving through Hope

God began to show Steven that if he ever believed in God and the lyrics he wrote about Him that they will always be true and he had to rest in that and seek comfort in God. The family made appearances over the last few years with the hope that they will serve as a chance to proclaim to a watching world what they know and are deeply convinced of even in these difficult days: the Gospel is true and faith in Christ is our hope. May this be true in your life as it is in theirs. Steven say's he's "Desperately Hopeful." even though he has hard days. He still looks to their future in eternity in Heaven, and focuses on the importance of Christmas and Jesus.

May the below articles and videos help you, bless you and give you hope and peace...

Touching on loss through 9/11 Steven turned out an earlier albulm hat might have helpful lyrics too. http://www.cbn.com/700club/scottross/interviews/StevenCurtisChapman_RecklessFaith.aspx

Album "Beauty will Rise" and "Reckless Faith" might be good to listen to and work through during the grieving process.

Note: Even though Mrs. Chapman has written a book that (amazingly was published/available first of September 2010) called "Choosing to SEE", one reviewer's cautions are that this is NOT a book to assist anyone with grieving. (i sure had hoped it was).  http://caregivingandbeyond.blogspot.com/2010/08/choosing-to-see-by-mary-beth-chapman.html  It focuses a lot on the negatives of herself and her depression and medication. I wouldnt want any grieving parent to feel drawn to depression or suicidal thoughts so this book will NOT make it on my list of books to recommend in a grieving situation.  Here's another review http://www.faithdeployed.com/2010/09/choosing-to-see-a-book-review/  (i hope one day they can write a book with a grief expert and focus on the tragedy and the rising from the grief to victory through their faith in Jesus Christ.)
