Darwin's Origin of Species was passed out at colleges around the United States and in Canada the last couple days. These free books were donated by Living Waters ministry and were a Special 150th Anniversary Edition. The book includes a 50 page introduction, discussing Darwin, the beliefs of many highly respected scientists who believe in Creationism, and talks about the problems with Evolution, and how our origins are actually by an intelligent designer, God. It discusses what that means, what God wants them to know, and why they need Jesus Christ as their Savior.
This did not go down without opposition of course. Many
Atheist and others who oppose the true facts, had planned and orchestrated elaborate plans across the internet and on practically every campus in America, to band together to discredit the information in the introduction (without, first, having even read it themselves). They had planned to pass out fliers talking about their beliefs in evolution and attacking the views of Ray Comfort and Christian Creationists. They had planned to get as many books as they could in order to rip out the introduction and offer the books to goodwill or to libraries. They may not be as smart as they like to come across, because most anyone knows that libraries and thrift shops will not accept or offer damaged books to those who visit or purchase things there. In addition, the had planned to even burn the books. On one had this would be good, since the information about Darwin in the Origin of Species book is based on a religious belief, not facts that can be supported, it is heresy should be burned. But the introduction should certainly get into the hands of those who are in college to be educated about truth and facts, as they will become the future business persons, lawyers, court justices, biologists, and scientists of the future, and they will need to know the truth in order to make the right choices and decisions in Americans future society.
Atheists and other anti truth organizations on campus failed to mobilize and set their plans in motion because the ministry decided to change the date they'd distribute the books, in order to avoid this kind of behavior. And they went in a day early, catching the atheists off guard. The army of the Lord prevailed, and were successful in getting 170,000 of these books into the hands of students across the country with little opposition. They did the main work of distribution on November 18th, and just a little more on the original date November 19th. The last day of distribution many teams were said to have passed out about 50 books. But they did hand them out, so the atheists can't claim Ray Comfort lied.
Also, for the record, Atheists are not the authority on whether the Bible is true or not. All the scientific information within its pages has been revealed to be true, even when the scientific community through the ages continues to change its mind as to what is true or not (in their own community). And remember, Evolution is not a fact, it’s a theory. But the Bible has been proven over and over again to be true, authentic and reliable, and it is the most well preserved historical book of all antiquity.
There is nothing wrong with handing out free books with additional information inside them. It has the whole publishing of Origins in there, unaltered. And there have been 140 publishing’s with tons of introductions placed inside them in the past. The only reason Atheists are angered is that it simply has a introduction that creationist want evolutionists and students to consider. The Atheists opposition is not called for. All the creationist Christians did was present the opposing and correct view rather than being censored, so they have both sides and can make up their own mind. Atheists and Evolutionists shouldn’t try to silence the other side, they should allow and encourage people to look into it, so they can weigh the facts and make up their own decision. We don’t need professors and atheist students trying to tell the rest of the students what they can or should believe. Let them think for themselves. Stop spreading disinformation and attacking those who present the view of creationism and intelligent design, let the students decide for themselves, and let them investigate and read information and hear what the other side has to say. If what atheists believe is true, then the students will come to that conclusion all on their own. If the students come to realize, the truth is Intelligent Design, as so many ancient and modern day scientists, mathematicians, biologists and others in scientific fields have, the student will come to that conclusion on their own, after they've investigated both sides themselves. They don’t need you to tell them what to believe is true. They have a reasoning mind and have common sense, so they can figure things out for themselves.
Universities are filled with students that are constantly seeking " the latest knowledge," but only found themselves disappointed and discouraged when they were once again let down." always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth."- 2 Tim 3:7, is a verse that constantly comes to mind when I think about those who attend or graduated from University. The information presented in the introduction of this book will get students thinking, and seeking for more information on the view that is no longer taught in higher learning institutions in America, and it may lead them to investigate the other side, creationism. That is all we can hope for. We don't and won't force anything on people if they are not open to following the information to the end, to find the truth. Some won't, but I hope you do.
